Chief Executive Officer
James Rods is the CEO of Best Private Loans and serves on its board of directors. Before joining BPL, he served as chief operating officer of Telia since November 2016, and as its chief financial officer when joining the company in July 2014. He joined Goldman Sachs in 1999, was named partner in 2004, and served as the head of communications media and Internet equity research. Before returning to Goldman, James spent almost three years as chief financial officer of the Tippmix.
Chief Technology Officer
John Smith is Chief Technology Officer. In his role, Jeremy oversees BPL's technology strategy and architecture, and the company’s investment in emerging technology and data areas. He’s also responsible for ensuring company-wide collaboration on areas of common technology needs, technology strategy, architecture, infrastructure, and emerging technology opportunities. John holds bachelor’s degrees in computer science and philosophy MIT.
Chief Marketing Officer
As Chief Marketing Officer, Mary Charoline oversees BPL’s brand and advertising initiatives. She joined BPL from Intuit, where she led global corporate marketing, spearheading the delivery of the company’s first corporate brand strategy and campaign. Before Intuit, Mary held marketing leadership positions at Procter & Gamble, achieving impressive results leading many household brands at different stages of growth and innovation. Mary holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance
Chief Risk Officer
Arun Pinto is BPL’s Chief Risk Officer. Before joining BPL, Arun was Chief Risk Officer of Consumer, Small and Business Banking division at Wells Fargo. Prior to his most recent role, Arun held several management roles where he was CRO of the auto business and CRO for Mortgage Servicing and Capital Markets. Arun earned his bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.
Chief People Officer
Anna Avalos is BPL's Chief People Officer, responsible for the company’s total talent strategy. Her career spans large, global organizations with fast-paced growth environments, and she has a breadth of experience building teams and business. She previously spent 14 years at Stryker, where she began her career in product operations and business unit leadership before she transitioned into several HR functions. Anna holds a BA in Communications and an MBA.
SVP of Global Operations
As the Senior Vice President of Global Operations, Diane oversees operational excellence across all business units at BPL. Her main focus is to support the company’s growth objectives and provide exceptional service to BPL's members and clients. With over 20 years of experience in operations transformation and infrastructure optimization, Diane brings a wealth of expertise from her work in the financial services, and consumer packaged goods industries.
